Designs in real life refer to taking objects that can be found in the world, and building them in Minecraft using blocks. You can also build objects that don’t exist in real life but do in movies.

Overview

When building something from real life, first you must decide what you’re going to build. It’s recommended to build something easy, such as a box, before trying to build much more difficult things, such as a car. If you’re in survival mode, make sure you have all of the necessary materials before starting to build. When in survival, it’s strongly recommended to use primarily renewable materials for larger pixel art.

Once you know what you’re going to build and you have the materials, you need to make sure that what you are going to build in Minecraft is proportionate to what real life object you’re basing it on. The easiest way to do this is by setting a legend for what a block equals. For example, you may decide to have 1 block equal 1 cubic centimeter (100:1 scale). For bigger objects (such as buildings) 1 block may equal 1 cubic meter (actual size), or perhaps for giant objects (such as the earth) a cubic kilometer. It all depends on the size of the object, and how detailed you want it to be.

Something that is fun to do once you have completed your pixel art project, is to make a hole to go inside of it. If you want, you can even turn the inside into a parkour course, a maze, a house, or a mine. If you’re advanced with redstone, you may want to add some to the inside of the pixel art. There are many possibilities — it’s up to you to decide which one to use.

Shapes

When building advanced pixel art from real life that contains anything other than squares and rectangles, you must know how to build shapes that may be difficult to make in Minecraft. These include circles, triangles, spheres, and more. If new to building shapes, start off by breaking 3-dimensional shapes down into 2-dimensional, and combining the 2-dimensional back together. Here are some examples of real life objects you can simulate in Minecraft through pixel art.

Piano

A piano is one of the more simple real-life objects to build in Minecraft as pixel art, as it is mostly made up of squares rather than round shapes. The coloring is also pretty simple, you just need black and white wool or concrete. Here is an example of how 1 third may look on a piano.

Always remember, the bigger you make something in pixel art (especially for real-life designs), the more precise it looks.

Xiaomi, Redmi, POCO

Google Pixel 6: What we want

By the time the Pixel 6 launches, we’ll not only be awash in current phones like the Galaxy S21 and the iPhone 13. (That’s not even addressing other recent phone launches like the Galaxy Z Fold 3.) Given that level of competition, Google has its work cut out for it to make the Pixel 6 stand out from the crowd.

Here’s how we think Google can pull that off.

Three camera setup
Offering three cameras is quickly becoming something of an industry-standard (at least in flagship models), so Google’s Pixel phones are an outlier with just two rear lenses. The Pixel 6 Pro sounds like it’s going to follow this pattern, with a trio of cameras — a main shooter, telephoto and ultrawide camera combination. Plus, it’ll keep the Pixel’s reputation as one of the best camera phones very much intact.

120Hz displayThe Pixel 5’s 90Hz refresh rate is nice, but a 120Hz would be even better and we’d love to see that featured on the Pixel 6. Especially with services such as Microsoft’s Xbox Cloud Gaming (formerly known as xCloud) bringing big-budget game streaming to phones, that higher refresh rate will really take games up a notch.

HDMI support
We appreciate that Google wants to encourage people to buy a Chromecast, but there is no excuse for the Pixel 6 not to support HDMI video out via a USB-C to HDMI connector. Being able to hook your phone up to a TV in this way is super convenient, especially when traveling. Having to use a Chromecast (not to mention having to buy one in the first place) to get content from your phone to a TV feels so archaic, so this is something that Google could easily fix.

В отличие от топового Pixel 6, где будет чипсет Google, у Pixel 5a 5G стоит проверенный временем Snapdragon 765G. К слову, он был в прошлогоднем флагмане Pixel 5 и показывал хорошие результаты. В отличие от Pixel 4a со Snapdragon 730G, тут более высокая производительность, среднеклассник получился что надо. Быстрый, плавный, ещё и работает долго. Чудо.

Впрочем, нельзя не сказать, что за те же деньги можно купить более производительный смартфон. Но нужно ещё помнить, что софт отлично оптимизирован, а вдобавок у Pixel 5a 5G ещё и отличная камера. Поэтому оценивать его только по характеристикам некорректно.

Правда, в процесс использования вскрылся неприятный момент. Если записывать видео в максимально возможном для устройства качестве, снимая в 4K 60 fps, в таком режиме смартфон перегревается и отказывается записывать видеоролики. Я читал, что эта проблема начинается после пяти минут съёмок, у меня уведомление всплывало после 10-11 минут. Надеюсь, что недостаток исправят с обновлениями софта, пока же можно понизить до 30 кадров в секунду. Корпус в таком случае тоже нагревается, но съёмка не прерывается.

Смартфон продаётся лишь в одной версии: 6 ГБ оперативной и 128 ГБ встроенной памяти. Никаких карточек памяти, конечно, нет. Нет и бонусов вроде «безлимита» на фото в облаке Google. Так что если планируете много фотографировать, в таком случае покупайте пространство за деньги.

Я давно уже не пользуюсь проводными наушниками, но 3,5-мм разъём на верхнем торце кому-то может пригодиться. У Google даже был рекламный ролик, где она восхваляла эту функцию.

Стереодинамики отличные. Играют громко, чисто, без искажений на средних уровнях, а вот на максимуме могут похрипывать. Но с учётом приличного запаса по звуку вряд ли придётся выкручивать звук на всю силу.

Сканер отпечатков пальцев расположен сзади. К его работе у меня вопросов нет, просто смотрится это не современно, подэкранный датчик выглядел бы интереснее.

В телефоне одна физическая SIM-карта, но можно настроить eSIM — в этом плане Pixel редкость в своём роде, поскольку на Android-телефонах функция встречается крайне редко. Особенно когда речь заходит об устройствах среднего класса.

Google Pixel 6 software

The Google Pixel 6 will almost certainly come running Android 12, as all previous Pixel phones have made their debut with a fresh version of Android. As mentioned earlier we’re expecting AI to play a big part in the Pixel 6’s integration of Android 12, with the Pixel Launcher skin on top offering a suite of smart features. 

But it also looks like widgets will play a major part, at least going by a new Pixel 6 advert from Japan. The widgets shown off in this advert, such as the clock and weather all have a more rounded design that seem to have an almost painterly quality. And it looks like the widgets will adjust their appearance depending on the theme the user has, taking on colors and hues to suit the wallpaper on the home screen and so on. 

Google Pixel 6: Will there be a charger?

Google could take a page from the iPhone 12’s and Samsung Galaxy S21’s book and drop the charging brick that has been bundled in previous Pixel phone boxes. That would mean it would just come with a USB-C charging cable, supposedly to cut down on e-waste. Some may find that potential move to be annoying, as it means buying an extra thing on top of the flagship phone. 

According to a recent report, the Pixel 6 Pro could come with 33W fast charging, which would not only beat the 18W charging of the previous Pixel, but also the wattage of the likes of the iPhone 13 Pro and Samsung Galaxy S21. As such, the Pixel 6 Pro could be the fastest charging Pixel phone ever, though it’s not going to worry the likes of some Chinese Android phones with their 65W plus charging. 

Furthermore, a new rumor has claimed that the Google Pixel 6 could have boosted wireless charging, seeing a jump from 10W to 23W. That would be faster than the aforementioned Apple and Samsung phones. 

Google Pixel 6 Tensor chip

The Google Pixel 6’s killer feature is the new Tensor SoC, which is focusing big on AI and machine learning. For example, the Tensor Processing Unit could take a blurry image of a toddler and make the child’s face sharper. The TPU would recognize the unclear image is a face and then make the necessary adjustments. 

In addition, the Pixel 6 can apply AI and computational photography to video. When shooting a sunset, for example, the Pixel 6 can automatically adjust the white balance and increase the dynamic range. 

When using speech-to-text, the TPU can let you edit words on the keyboard even while you’re speaking, and the speech-to-text is almost instantaneous. These are just some of the things Tensor is capable of. 

The above features appear or have been heavily hinted at in a new Google Pixel 6 advert, which has teased powerful translation, photography and speech recognition, as well as user-centric customization, which could all be powered by the Tensor chip. 

Google could have plans for the Tensor chip beyond the Pixel 6 lineup. A report claims Tensor will power the Pixel Fold, if that foldable phone proves to be more than just a rumor.

We’ll be interested to see how the Tensor system-on-chip compares to chips in other Android flagships. The latest batch of leaked benchmarks show the Tensor chip won’t be a slice of silicon that’ll blow away the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 or Apple’s A15 Bionic. In Geekbench 5 results, the Tensor chip reportedly garnered a single-core score of 1,027 and a multi-core result of 2,706; hardly a performance paradigm shift. 

But the Tensor chip will be less about raw performance and more about delivering smarter capabilities that other chip with better clock speeds and core counts won’t be able to do. After all, the idea behind the Tensor chip is to have an end-to-end throughput from the chip’s silicon to the Pixel 6’s software and smart features. 

Google Pixel 6 cameras

It’s confirmed that the Google Pixel 6 will feature both a main sensor and ultra-wide camera. The Google Pixel 6 Pro adds a 4X optical-zoom telephoto lens. Google also says that the main wide-angle sensor now lets in 150% more light, but it isn’t sharing any details beyond that. 

Two other confirmed camera features from a retailer leak include Magic Eraser (which we assume lets you remove photo bombers) and Face Unblur. 

One possible leaked spec, based on findings within the code of the latest version of the Android Camera app, suggests that the main camera on both phones could feature the 50MP Samsung GN1 sensor. That’s confirmed by a subsequent Pixel 6 Pro leak, which adds that the telephoto lens will be a 12MP sensor while the ultrawide angle camera will use a 48MP sensor. A leaked image of the Google Pixel 6 6 Pro’s cameras from Evan Blass (see above) lends further credence to the claimed specs of this trio of rear cameras. 

Still, it appears that the big news is all about Tensor and how Google’s improved computational photography will enhanced both still photos and videos.

Google has confirmed that it will be making some changes to the computational software that powers the cameras on its phone, with those new capabilities appearing on the Pixel phones arriving in the fall. Google says it’s working with image experts so that its cameras do a better job taking accurate photos of people of color. That means adjusting the Auto White balance to prevent over-brightening of darker skin tones and developing more accurate detection for different types of hair, so that hair stands out more from the background of a photo.

Furthermore, the Android 12 Beta code notes that the phone will have a special “p21_fronmmt_setup” feature for the Pixel 6 Pro that the regular phone won’t have. 9to5Google speculated might be reference to the Pixel 6 Pro being able to shoot selfie videos in 4K resolution.

On the camera feature side, a recent teardown of the Google Camera app has reportedly revealed some of the capabilities we could expect from the Pixel 6. The teardown hints at 4K video capture at 60 frames per second, the potential return of features like the magic eraser and a ‘face deblur’ option, and a manual white balance adjustment.

Furthermore, it appears that camera shots taken on a Google Pixel 6 Pro have been leaked. While the photographs are far from the most impressive we’ve seen, they do hint at how the Pixel 6 Pro could use pixel binning to deliver 12.5-megapixel images from a 50MP sensor. This would suggest that there’ll be more flexibility from the camera system as it’ll have more data to apply powerful computational photography to photos; expect crisper more colorful shots and improved night mode as a bare minimum.

Map Pixel Art[]

It is possible to make pixel art using a map. You do this by finding a suitable area, preferably one with few obstructions, and using a map. Find an appropriate area on the map to begin building, and start by laying down blocks in the pattern of whatever you are trying to create, be it a player, an item, a mob or anything you’d like to build. When you’re done, you can check the map again. On it, there should be whatever image you tried to create.

If you want to, you can lay down a canvas of solid blocks behind or around the picture to use as a background, but be aware that doing this creates a tremendous shadow beneath the picture. It may also be a good idea to have your picture take a large portion of the center of the map, so there isn’t too much whitespace, since that would be a waste. You can even create a pixel-art frame to go around it! Locking the map has the advantage that the pixel art need not be in place in order to appear on the map.

If you’re creating some kind of map (the playable kind, not the item), preferably an underground or indoor one, you can use colored blocks to create a «minimap», which is a small map that appears as part of the HUD in some games. You do this by putting a solid-color layer over the top of the area, and tracing the cave’s layout using a different block over the top of the solid color layer. You can create labels, other pieces of pixel art and/or different colored blocks to mark certain areas on the minimap. Finally, when the layout is all done, give the player a used map (this time the item kind) to hold in their off-hand slot to use as a minimap as they explore the dark caves or wherever you set the area in. If you want to have the minimap as an actual feature rather than just a map item, you can get a mod or plugin to put a minimap on the HUD, but be aware that the player may not have the mod installed when they play the map if they aren’t playing on a server with the mod preinstalled.

Google Pixel – дорогие и неинтересные. Нет, я не критикую их стоимость как таковую. Меня просто не устраивает соотношение цены и технологий, которые я получаю за уплаченные деньги. Мало того, что их внешний вид максимально прост и непритязателен по сравнению с аппаратами из того же ценового сегмента, так они ещё и оснащаются более слабым железом, чем конкренты. Вспомните Pixel 5 с его Snapdragon 765G. А ведь это, на минуточку, флагман.

Google Pixel – не лучшие камерофоны. Принято считать, что «пиксели» — это топовые камерофоны. Но, если вы откроете рейтинг DxoMark, то увидите, что в первой десятке нет ни одного смартфона Google. Нет, бесспорно, Google сильно продвинулась по части фото- и видеосъёмки, но портретным и ночным режимами сегодня уже никого не удивить. Тем более, что Google Pixel даже в этих сценариях съёмки умудряются уступать конкурентам.

Custom resourcepack support:

As of the 1.0.14 patch, Pixelprinter allows for server-wide resourcepack support. Using this feature will allow for better quality and accuracy of images when using custom resourcepacks. To add custom resourcepack support, do the following:

1. Go into the <Server>/plugins/PixelPrinter/custom_textures/ directory.
2. In a new window, open the resourcepack zip file and navigate to the Minecraft>textures>blocks folder.
3. In there, drag all textures into the custom_textures directory.

And that’s it. Pixelprinter will handle the rest.

This plugin checks for updates and will download updates. If you do not want this plugin to automatically update, all you need to do is edit one line in the «plugins\AUpdater\global.yml» file. Just change the one variable in there to false (or, if you run into any problems, copy the code below)

Телефон, который долго работает

Один из весомых аргументов Google Pixel 5a 5G — его батарейка. К счастью, Google не стала жертвововать аккумулятором в угоду тонкому корпусу. Относительно Pixel 4a 5G толщина даже стала чуть меньше, батарейка стала больше: вместо 3885 мАч получили 4680 мАч.

На фоне одноклассников, возможно, не так много, ведь в продаже есть разные Samsung с батарейками на 6000 мАч, но по моим меркам, у Pixel 5a 5G показатели отличные.

К примеру, на моём iPhone 12 Pro Max я получаю около 6-7 часов экрана, те же 6 часов выдаёт Pixel 4a, а у Pixel 5a 5G выходит около 7-7,5 часов. Получается весьма достойно, учитывая, что никаких «оптимизационных» действий предпринимать не приходится. Поэтому зарядки спокойно хватает на день очень активного использования телефона, а при более сдержанном сценарии можно и 1,5-2 дня получить.

У телефона нет беспроводной зарядки — не очень современно, но насколько это критично, решайте сами. Я, например, ими вообще не пользуюсь, заряжать по проводу всё равно быстрее.

Зато в комплекте есть адаптер питания на 18 Вт. Не самый мощный в классе, но всё равно спасибо, что не пожадничали и положили зарядку. Поддерживается быстрая зарядка, показатели обычные: за полчаса можно зарядить телефон на 40 %, а на полную зарядку уходит чуть больше полутора часов.

ОС Android 12 вышла. Какие устройства получат апдейт?

На прошлой неделе состоялся релиз финальной версии ОС Android 12. Перечисляем, когда и на какие смартфоны придёт обновление.

Google Pixel

Традиционно первыми актуальную версию «зелёного робота» получат фирменные устройства Google. Обычно апдейт прилетал на аппараты Pixel в день выхода операционки. Но в этом году компании требуется больше времени на доработку специальной модификации Android 12 с эксклюзивными фишками для Pixel. Так что пока опубликован лишь исходный код AOSP-сборки системы.

Это позволяет вендорам уже сейчас начать разработку своих оболочек поверх ОС. В то же время, по словам Google, обновление по воздуху разойдётся на телефоны Pixel в ближайшие недели.

Samsung

Xiaomi, Redmi, POCO

Актуальную MIUI 12.5 на основе Android 11 получило множество устройств, так что стоит рассчитывать на длинный список. Ведь в последнее время смартфоны брендов Xiaomi, POCO и Redmi обновляются всё дольше. Android 12 придёт на следующие гаджеты:

Один из брендов холдинга BBK обещает оперативно выпустить обновление до Android 12 для своих устройств. Компания realme запланировала выход оболочки realme UI 3.0 на 13 октября. Сперва апдейт появится на моделях семейства realme GT. Также ожидается, что грядущий смартфон GT Neo 2 будет поставляться с двенадцатой версией ПО из коробки.

OnePlus

Что касается OnePlus, обновление до OxygenOS 12 тоже увидит свет раньше обычного. Теперь эту надстройку объединили с ColorOS от OPPO, что должно помочь Android 12 распространяться на гаджеты OnePlus быстрее. Бета-тестирование OxygenOS 12 стартовало 4 октября, а стабильную сборку линейка OnePlus 9 получит к концу декабря.

Согласно инсайдам, до этого момента в октябре может выйти телефон OnePlus 9RT, который будет поставляться с актуальной операционкой. Официально информация пока не подтверждена. По имеющимся данным, Android 12 получат следующие модели:

Отличная фотокамера

От телефонов серии Pixel ждёшь отличных фотографий, телефон не подводит ожидания и выдаёт качественные снимки в любых условиях. Камера быстрая, софтовая обработка качественная: точное попадание в цвет, высокая детализация, резкость. Другое дело, что в Pixel 5a 5G нет изменений по части качества снимков. Он получил те же модули, что и Pixel 4a 5G в прошлом году: основную камеру на 12 Мп и сверхширокоугольную на 16 Мп. Фронтальная тоже не изменилась, всё те же 8 Мп.

К камере смартфона не придерёшься, она отлично снимает в любых условиях. Очень быстрая, с точной и безошибочной фокусировкой. Естественные цвета, аккуратный баланс белого, отличная резкость, правильные тона кожи — камера такая, что не стыдно и с более дорогими устройствами сравнить.

Опять же, отличный режим для съёмки ночью. Не нравится, что фото слишком яркие и неестественно светлые? Можете им вообще не пользоваться, на «автомате» тоже получается хорошо. В таком случае шумы, конечно, есть, но они естественные, телефон не пытается убить детали кадра в угоду гладкой картинке.

У телефона нет телеобъектива для портретов, поэтому телефона использует программную обработку. При желании можно отказаться от неё, поскольку размытие не всегда выходит точным и аккуратным.

Как получить безлимит в Google Фото

Есть смысл покупать только первый пиксель, и то не для каждодневного использования

Впрочем, есть одно исключение, и это первый Google Pixel. Вот его я бы действительно купил. Правда, не для ежедневного использования, а для того, чтобы получить безлимитное хранилище в «Google Фото». Это единственный смартфон, у которого не просто осталась возможность пользоваться неограниченным пространством в облачном сервисе Google. За ним закреплена особая привилегия, разрешающая его владельцам загружать в «Google Фото» снимки и видеоролики в исходном качестве без ограничений.

Купить первый Google Pixel в новом состоянии вам сегодня уже скорее всего не удастся. Но поскольку пользоваться на постоянной основе вы им не будете, возьмите восстановленный экземпляр с АлиЭкспресс. Благо, их там довольно много, причём по вполне демократичным ценам. Китайские мастера заменяют повреждённые и вышедшие из строя компоненты, упаковывают смартфоны и продают их с пометкой refurbished или restored за 8-10 тысяч рублей. Топовую версию с приставкой XL не покупайте – она стоит дороже. А вот базовую – берите, не пожалеете.

Google Pixel 6 release date rumors

We had been expecting Google to stick to previous Pixel phone form with an early October launch for the Pixel 6. And going by an advert from an Australian carrier, it looks like we can expect Pixel 6 news on October 19, likely the full launch of the standard and Pro phones. 

And by leaker Jon Prosser, claims that the Pixel 6 will hit stores on October 28 after pre-orders get underway October 19. This seems to be supported by code spotted within the Google Camera app that shows the Pixel 6 Pro will need to update the app on October 27. It makes sense that Google would push out a camera app update just before the phone hits store shelves.

Adding fuel to the speculative fire about the Pixel 6 release date is a leaked internal document that indicates Android 12 will debut on October 4. And it’s possible that the Pixel 6 could launch alongside a Google Pixel Fold, as one display analyst says that Google’s first foldable could launch before the end of the year. We’d take that prediction with a pinch of salt though. 

Google Pixel 6 battery and charging

Previous Pixels have struggled in the battery life department. With a 4,000 mAh battery, the Pixel 5 ran for 9 hours and 29 minutes on its default 90Hz mode in our battery test, which is below average for a smartphone. With the Pixel 6, Google is only promising «all day» endurance, which is vague. 

Google could go with a bigger battery for the Pixel 6. Recent rumors suggest that the Pixel 6 Pro will have a nice, big 5,000 mAh battery to power its large display. Jon Prosser expects that to happen, adding that the Pixel 6 will feature a 4,614 mAh battery — a big improvement over the Pixel 5.

Another rumor has the Google Pixel 6 tipped to get faster wireless charging thanks to a new Pixel Stand. And new leaked Google Pixel 6 images from leaker Evan Blass have shown off the new Pixel Stand, which will reportedly offer some 23 watts of wireless charging; it looks like the stand has a cooling fan as well to enable fast charging without excessive heat generation.

The most striking thing about the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro is its design. Both Pixel phones feature a large black rectangular camera bar across the top of the phones’ rears along with a two-tone design. 

The Pixel 6 offers a few color options, including pink, bluish-gray with a pale yellow accent and black model with a light-gray top accent color. The Pixel 6 Pro black-on-gray model a white model with a cream or pale slate accent bar and a pale orange with brighter orange accent. The majority of the glass rear appears to have a matte finish, whereas the space above the camera bar appears to have a brighter, glossier tone. 

If you want to get a sense of what those colors look like, leaker Evan Blass has posted Pixel 6 renders in Seafoam Green, Stormy Black and Cloudy White.

The front of the Pixel 6 is almost all screen with a centered hole punch cutout for the selfie camera. And it’s also good to see the thin bezels around the display.

In another positive move, Google has moved away from the under-display earpiece on the Pixel 5 in favor of a more traditional earpiece speaker on the Pixel 6. Some have complained about the speaker being too loud and leaking sound.

Since the initial design reveal, Google has shown off what the Pixel 6 Pro looks like in the hand, with a , with an post also gives us a better look at the Material You design changes made by Android 12.

We also got a less official glimpse in a hands-on video of a Pixel 6 Pro. The logo’s not right since it’s a pre-production camouflaged model, but everything else seems to fit with what’s been rumored and officially shown off.

And so far it’s looking like a rather attractive phone, seemingly treading the line between a practical utilitarian aesthetic and an interesting camera strip and color accents. The Pixel 6 Pro is currently on display at Google’s store in New York, and the photos confirm what we know so far.

Я давно поставил на свой Pixel 4a бета-версию Android 12, и было так непривычно увидеть Android 11 на Pixel 5a 5G. Я думал, что он «из коробки» получит свежайший Android, но просчитался — придётся подождать, пока появится финальный софт.

Небольшое отступление. На мой взгляд, Android 12 воспринимается как нечто свежее и кардинально новое после Android 11. Вот про iOS 15 этого не скажешь, таких визуальных отличий от iOS 14 нет

Поэтому если вам хочется разнообразия, то советую обратить внимание на телефоны Pixel. Не обязательно покупать именно Pixel 5a 5G, достаточно попробовать что-то из моделей последних двух лет

Возвращаясь к Pixel 5a 5G, скажу, что, покупая его, у вас не будет проблем с обновлениями системы и патчами безопасности, всё получите в числе первых в течение нескольких лет.
