Dota 2[edit]
Sccc began his professional Dota 2 career in 2015 as part of Newbee Young. The team participated in many qualifiers throughout the early part of 2015 but failed to make an impact, often placing last or near-last. Sccc and Newbee Young received a direct invitation to the TI5 Chinese Qualiifer, but once again failed to advance past the first stage of the qualifier. Newbee Young underwent a number of player changes around Sccc following the conclusion of The International 2015. Newbee Young would receive an invitation to The Frankfurt Major’s Chinese Qualifier, where Sccc led his team to a 3rd-place finish. Although the team initially did not qualify, Invictus Gaming withdrew from the tournament due to visa issues and were replaced by Newbee Young, giving Sccc his first chance to play on the international stage. Following a 13th-16th-place finish in Frankfurt, Newbee Young shuffled its roster once again. Sccc remained the centerpiece of the team as they exchanged player after player through a string of subpar qualifier and tournament results during the remainder of the 2015-2016 season.
Sccc got his big break following The International 2016, when he was promoted from Newbee Young to Newbee’s main squad. Along with newcomers uuu9 and Faith, Newbee began posting results almost immediately as they placed 2nd at both MDL 2016 and the Nanyang Cruise Cup. These placements along with a number of qualifier victories secured Newbee and Sccc a direct invitation to The Boston Major. In Boston, Newbee performed well during the group stage but suffered an upset and were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs at the hands of eventual runners-up Ad Finem. The team persevered, however, and in the following months secured back-to-back victories in seasons 2 and of the Dota2 Professional League as well as 2 more runner-up placements at China Top 2016 and ESL One Genting. Newbee received a direct invitation to The Kiev Major, but once again were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs.
Newbee struggled slightly in the aftermath of The Kiev Major, failing to qualify for both The Summit 7 and EPICENTER 2017, but Sccc and the rest of the team bounced back in LAN play at The Manila Masters, where they placed second. The very next week, Sccc secured his first LAN title as Newbee defeated Team NP at The ZOTAC Cup Masters. This victory along with Newbee’s subsequent victory at Galaxy Battles secured the team a direct invite to The International 2017.
At TI7, Newbee had a strong showing and climbed to second place in their group, securing them a spot in the upper bracket of the main event. At the main event, Sccc had breakout performances on his signature heroes Queen of Pain and Outworld Devourer and led his team past Evil Geniuses, Invictus Gaming, and LGD.Forever Young in order to secure a grand finals berth. However, the team fell short in the finals and lost 3-0 to Team Liquid.

Dota 2[edit]
Ilya Ilyuk was born 24 December 1995. Longtime Warcraft and Dota 1 player, he played Dota 2 on a semi-professional level with his friends for 2 years.
In the summer 2014, Ilyuk arrived at the NVMI team that was organized by Goblak at the time. The first place in Game Show League Season 1 was the team’s first success, where the line-up defeated Natus Vincere in the final.
On 18 September 2014 NVMI’s line-up was signed by the Virtus.pro organization. A stand-alone project Virtus.pro Polar emerged for the team, taking the name of ASUS.Polar from January 2015. Lil claimed the title of Dota Pit League Season 2 and StarLadder StarSeries Season 11 vice-champion as a part of the lineup. During the first year of his career, he won more than $300 000.
On 15 April 2015, ASUS.Polar fell under Virtus.pro tag and went on to win DreamLeague Season 3 and Esportal Dota 2 League. However, the roster finished their run in the year’s biggest tournament, The International 2015, in the 5-6 place. At the end of the year, Lil claimed the title of The Summit 4 vice-champion.
In March 2016 Lil left the team to join the mix Polarity. After a failed attempt to qualify for the TI6, the team disbanded. In August, Ilyuk returned to the updated Virtus.pro line-up. During their first month, the line-up qualified for all high-level tournaments and also won BTS Europe #4 and The Summit 6. In the ranks of the VP.G2A roster, Lil claimed the 5-8 place in The Boston Major 2016.
In January 2018 Lil left Virtus.pro and joined Natus Vincere.

Dota 2[edit]
The M5.Garaj squad played together for a good half year, but in November 2011 M5 had to drop the team as they refused to play together due to internal issues. However, only a few weeks after M5 came back with a new roster, keeping NS and God but swapping the other three players. This lineup would not prove to be resilient to the internal issues that plagued many of NS’s earlier teams, and only a few months later the team split up again. By February 2012, the former M5 squad were picked up by Darer. NS would not be long in the organization, as him and Dread left in May to instead join Virtus.pro. After some player swapping the team finally found a stable roster by September 2012, and results started showing during the following Winter. Most notably, VP won The Defense Season 3 in March 2013. On November 30, 2013 NS announced that he is retiring from professional DotA 2.

History[edit]
This section is a stub. You can help Liquipedia by expanding it. |
Na`Vi’s DotA section was created in October 2010 with the pickup of Goblak, XBOCT, Mag~, Deff-, and Axypa. After Mag~ and Deff- left the team, they acquired Danil «Dendi» Ishutin and Ivan «Artstyle» Antonov. The team was later invited to The International 2011, winning it after defeating the Chinese team EHOME 3-1 in the finals.
On June 11th, 2013, Na`Vi picked up an all female team. The organization expanded to North America with their signing of the North American Rejects after qualifying for The International 2014, in June, 2014. On December 5th that year, Natus Vincere announced that they were disbanding Na`Vi.US.
After failing to qualify for the 2015 Frankfurt Major, Natus Vincere announced the departure of their Dota 2 squad on October 16th, 2015, leaving the organization rosterless for the first time since its inception. Four days later, Natus Vincere announced that Dendi and SoNNeikO would be returning to form a new team.
In July 2016, Na`Vi overcame Team Secret 3-1 to win the StarLadder i-League StarSeries Season 2 in the BTS Studios, Los Angeles. This was their first tournament win since 2014, thus ending a 20-month drought of tournament wins.. This mostly helped them to be directly invited to The International 2016, but after a rough group stage, the team placed last again. The roster stayed together for a while, but then, citing internal issues, the roster broke apart. Na’Vi even tried to create an european roster by bringing Pajkatt, RmN-, and Biver, along with their long time player XBOCT as coach, but they still haven’t achieved a better result, failing to qualify for The International 2017, the first time ever that Na’Vi won’t be attending The International.
After another reshuffle by returning to CIS players once more by bringing in RodjER and the rather untested Crystallize, the team initially started off well, qualifying to some events and even getting 1st place in Adrenaline Cyber League/2017. However, the team unexpectedly had to swap RodjER with Lil from Virtus.pro, and when SoNNeikO left again, Na’Vi brought in their standin LeBronDota. Despite the changes, Na’Vi still didn’t perform well, and more internal issues caused them to switch LeBron with Velheor. As The International 2018 approaches, disaster struck as Na’Vi didn’t even make it through the open qualifiers.
Realizing they needed a big change, Na’Vi decides to do something drastic by removing Dendi from the roster, the first time in 8 years. Almost completely revamping their roster, only Crystallize stays as Navi brings in SoNNeiko once again, adding MagicaL, Blizzy, and later Chuvash into the roster. Xboct also got replaced by Mag as the coach. As they approach The International 2019, Chuvash would go inactive and filled in with Zayac. After a hard fought qualifier, Na’Vi managed to once again compete in The International, but in the end, they have to settle with last place once again.
After the tournament, Zayac left the team rather abruptly after SoNNeiko got benched. Na’Vi then tried a myriad of players in hopes to form a stronger roster, from newcomers like Illias, So bad, Immersion, and Young G, to veterans like CemaTheSlayeR and 9pasha. In the end, Na’Vi opted to take the roster of FlyToMoon into their own, and after some formidabble results, officially made V-Tune, Iceberg, GeneRaL, RodjER, and ALWAYSWANNAFLY into the roster.
