What Is This Neopolitan Mod?

This Collection Mod should be considered Vanilla+, and contains the combined code of over 100 mods from a wide variety of authors. This mod collection is the same one he use on his server and all are tested, error & warning free, and work well together. The specific list of mods is outlined below. These mods are selected for their Quality of Life (QoL) improvements over vanilla game play. There are no rainbow zombies, instant crafting, super-powerful weapons, or substantial changes to game play. Anyone familiar with and who enjoys playing the vanilla game would be able to play this collection comfortably. He’s confident after playing this collection, you’ll find many or most of the mods near-requirements for any future games you play.

Feedback, Ideas, Bug Reporting

Constructive feedback is welcome and encouraged. Specifically, it’s very helpful to hear from those wanting and willing to play a cheat-free normal playthrough. If you cheat everything in, you aren’t getting the experience or progression intended… nor will you properly understand the perks, skills and functions unless you learn and grow into them while playing.

Installation

Manuel Installation

  • A. Navigate to the game’s base folder:(~\Steam\steamapps\common\7 Days to Die).
  • B. Extract the contents of the zip file(s) directly into the game’s base folder.
  • C. Make sure the entire contents of each zip you install goes into the base folder.
  • D. Start the game, if you done it correctly a you will see the Gnamod logo in the main menu.

Mod Launcher Installation

  • A. Download the Mod Launcher from Sphereii.
  • B. Install the Mod Launcher following the instructions.
  • C. Find the tab for Gnamod, open it, select a version and use Install Game Copy.
  • D. Use Pre-Sync to download the mod and then Play Mod to start.

Gnamod Horde Mode

Gnamod Horde Mode is the full on Arcade version of Gnamod where it all resolves around tower defense. In this mode you will spawn near a machine called ‘Beacon’ that is your only route of escape, or so your poor character thinks. It sends out smoke signals and acts as a radio beacon for airplanes to drop supplies. It also attracts zombies, they just cannot resist punching it. Sadly for you the machine has an unstable nuclear core and to much zombie punches will make it explode and likely take you and your base with it.

The beacon comes with supply caches where you can exchange currency into supplies and equipment. The secret stash contains supplies that are changed daily. Increase your skill in bartering and intelligence to access the better stock and better prices.

Be aware for the first horde that arrives around 2 PM (12 AM on servers). Surround your Beacon with walls, traps and mines and make sure to equip yourself with the best your money can buy. Zombies will drop bags that contain more currency, so keep killing for more supplies.

Horde Mode currently comes with three maps (Easy, Normal, Tough). The Tough map features the Boss Mode POI made by Like A Boss during alpha 17 with some alterations to make if fit with the rest. This POI features sleepers so you will need to fight off enemies right away.

Features

  • Arcade Mode with Beacon to defend.
  • Buy supplies from vendors in the Beacon. Store your stuff in the drawers of the Beacon.
  • Zombies drop money instead of loot.
  • Zombies can see further out and through walls, you cannot hide from the zombies.
  • Progressively harder for each day passed as well as gamestaged.

Notes & Tips

  • There are supplies to be found in both the standard tabs as well as the secret stash. Check each of the vendors (3 on each side with their own customized stock). To progress in Horde Mode you will eventually need to invest in Better Barter to unlock better stashes that contain the best materials.
  • Horde Mode is resource intensive despite Haidrgna’s best efforts. If you run into perfomance issues you may want to consider reducing settings even if the vanilla game runs fine.
  • The command ‘gfx pp enable 0’ will turn off all post processing and can help reduce the load. The mem or memcl (for clients) can free up some memory by calling the garbage collector.
  • You can set Bloodmoon hordes to daily for a different kind of experience.

War of the Walkers

Current Weapon Mods Available

  • Oil Filter Suppressor – Usable on the Pipe Pistol and Rifle, and most vanilla weapons. Can be wrenched from cars and in some loot. Big though, and limits ADS effectiveness. Slight loss of range and damage and also adds a small increase to degradation of the weapon due to increased blowback.
  • Extended Mag – For the Pipe Pistol and Rifle. Doubles the pistol and rifle capacity, also actually shows on the gun, unlike vanilla. Only works on pipe guns.
  • Long Barrel – Versions for both the rifle and shotgun. This adds a longer barrel, increasing effective range. Makes hip fire more unwieldy, and also slightly increase weapon degradation. Works as a mod for the rifle, used as a recipe ingredient for the shotgun.
  • Cylinder Mag – Can be used on long or short pipe shotguns. Ups the shell capacity to 4 rounds.
  • Homemade Flashlight – Custom attachment for all WW guns, and most vanilla weapons. Simple flashlight and duct tape. Not as effective as the regular weapon light mod.

Nuka Colas

Take your pick from the classic Nuka Cola, Nuka Cherry, Nuka Quartz, or the ever rare Nuka Quantum!

Each drink has its own buff. May cause certain side effects…

Can be looted almost any place normal water is found, but is very rare. Also can be available in regular vending machines, so make sure to check every one you find! Will give back a bottlecap when you drink one.

They can also be placed down as a block, similar to the torch, so you can use their warm, radiated light to see your surroundings.

Sunset Sarsaparilla has been added. Similar effects and loot locations to Nuka Cola.

The Nuka Grenade, which can be crafted using Nuka Quantums.

The Bottlecap Mine, which is crafted from loot only lunchboxes and bottlecaps from Nukas. These lunchboxes can also be placed down and used as storage. Can’t pick them back up though!

Nuka Vending Machine, which has a working and broken variant. They are added to the placeholder block, so any POI that uses it has a chance to get one of them instead of the regular machines. Won’t work on existing saves though.

There are a few mods viewable in the files that do not currently exist in the game, not even obtainable through the creative inventory, outside of editing the xml file to allow that. These are listed here, using their internal item icon name.

We can look into the item_modifiers.xml file to figure out what the first three do.

  1. Download: Sorcery-master.zip (latest version)
  2. Unzip: Sorcery-master.zip
  3. Drag-n-Drop: The Sorcery folder only, found within the unzipped Sorcery-master folder, directly into your Mods folder (\7 Days To Die\Mods). Create the Mods folder here if it doesn’t already exist.
  4. Verify Mod Path: (\7 Days To Die\Mods\Sorcery) + (\7 Days To Die\Mods\Deep Pockets)
  5. Deport The Undead back to Hell: You’re ready to play as a post-apocalyptic harbinger of the elements… may your training commence!

Play With Darkness Falls

Follow the instructions below (spoiler) to play Sorcery + Darkness Falls together:

Install Darkness Falls first! (latest version)

  1. Download Darkness Falls
  2. Download Sorcery
  3. Download Compatibility Patch
  4. Unzip: Sorcery-master.zip AND SorceryCompatibilityDF.zip
  5. Drag-n-Drop: The single folder (Sorcery), found within the unzipped (Sorcery-master\Mods) folder, directly into the Mods folder (\Darkness_Falls_Directory\Mods). Create the Mods folder here if it doesn’t already exist.
  6. Drag-n-Drop: The folder (SorceryCompatibilityDF) directly into the Mods folder (\Darkness_Falls_Directory\Mods) of your Darkness Falls root directory
  7. Verify Mod Path: (\Darkness_Falls_Directory\Mods\Sorcery) + (\Darkness_Falls_Directory\Mods\SorceryCompatibilityDF)

Sorcery+Darkness Falls Support

Do NOT bother Khaine about Sorcery+DF compatibility issues or ask for him to make changes between the two. If you’re having a problem, or want to request a feature, there are dedicated channels on the Sorcery Discord. Devrix alone update and ensure compatibility between the two.

All credits go to each original mod author. Most modders learn to create their own mods by looking at the work of others. In some cases, code is copied to create a new mod. Legendary Guns

  • Silent But Deadly – Custom pistol. Comes with a silencer. Higher capacity.
  • Long Distance – Unique rifle. Has a 4x scope. Higher dismemberment chance.
  • Firestarter – Quality homemade shotgun. Single shot. Very high limb dismemberment. Accepts all shells and applies Dragon’s Breath to them.
  • Lincoln’s Repeater – .44 Magnum lever action rifle. Able to penetrate multiple targets. High dismemberment. Accepts 8x scopes.
  • Maria – 9mm. High capacity. Moderate dismemberment. Accepts a reflex sight.
  • Pew Pew – Higher damage and magazine capacity.
  • AER-15 Prototype – Unique prototype variant of the laser rifle. Higher damage per beam and shoots 5 rounds in one trigger pull. Hip fire behaves more like a shotgun while aimed fire allows heavy damage to a single target.
  • Alien Blaster – Wait, what?
  • Cryolator – Custom made weapon that damages and slows enemies. Affected enemies move slower and take more damage. Critical hit freeze enemies. Very rare ammo that can only be looted.
  • Arizona Campaign Scout Rifle – Modified Heavy Sniper.
  • Le Fusil Terribles – Absolutely terrible shotgun. Don’t use this.

Can be found in certain loot. Also can be a quest reward. Very rare. Legendary weapons won’t permanently break.

Gnamod Survival

Important: Survival is currently not available yet for A18. It is planned to be included in the 0.9.x release of the mod. This mode will likely not be added before A19.x is stable.

Gnamod Survival will be more true to the survival type of gameplay that was before part of Gnamod and Necropolis. This means that loot will be more scarce, gameplay is more focused on survival and less on the base defense part of the game. Construction in this mod will be more limited and getting a steady supply of food and water will be harder. In a sense this mode will focusing more in realism than on arcade like some of the other mods.

This mod is currently planned to be added, but is dependent on features to be implemented in Gnamod Core first:

  • Loot overhaul Gnamod Style.
  • Item overhaul.
  • Block overhaul.
  • Recipe overhaul.
